[b. 26 December 1975 ~ d. 29 June 2002]

During Brandon’s 26 passionate years with us on earth, he accomplished more than many do in a longer lifetime. He travelled extensively throughout Canada, America, and Mexico, living with his parents in each of these countries. He enjoyed camping, swimming, downhill skiing, SCUBA diving, & snorkelling. At an early age, he appreciated exotic cuisine, fine dining, and vintage wines. He utilized his extensive and diverse music collection to create his own music. In the late 1990’s while living with his mother in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, he met Nina Wriedt, a German fashion photographer residing in Paris, France.

As their courtship blossomed, he continued his artistic endeavours. Although art education had been an important part of his highschool education, he preferred independent study & experimentation. Intrigued with the Maya ethnographic studies conducted by his mother, he was influenced by Ancient Maya artistic motifs and modern Mexican indigenous craftspeople. Leaving his home in Mexico, Brandon moved to Paris [November 1995] with Nina; they were married in Germany, June 21, 1997.

Always peripatetic, they travelled throughout western Europe before their return to North America, November 1997, choosing to settle in Miami Beach. Nina’s career kept her frequently in Europe; she returned permanently in 1999. The following year, he began a relationship with Callie Manning, a dancer with the Miami City Ballet. He became a dedicated disciple of yoga. Following his training as a yoga instructor, he planned to study at an ashram in India.

Brandon exhibited his dynamic canvasses filled with brilliant colour at galleries in Toronto [Canada], Paris [France], and Miami Beach [America]. His utilized oil paints almost exclusively however, his more than thirty extant works include an early sponge painting and oil pastels.

At one of the ceremonies to honour Brandon’s life and achievements, a friend wrote in the journal of his life:

"Brandon’s life was like a flying star in our life: bright, fast, shining, and leaving a trail behind him. He disappeared too fast but left us a lasting memory.

Brandon restera dans notre coeur."
